i think sparco makes a matching bracket for our cars. but you could use stock brackets, but i think it would sit too high. best bet is to fab up a set. i could make you a set if needed also.

I got my brackets from a guy on here, Scott Trent, he had a big thread here on the Interior forum. His AIM name is Section8Cav. He made mine for $85 shipped.

^^not to knock them, but Scott's were very unsafe, and my set werent close to lining up. i tried to install once, and decided to build a stirdy set.

Well I told him to just make the bracket, and I drilled all my own holes. And there is about 3/4" of open steel around the bolts to the floor. So I think that they are held down very well.

ok one more question... if some one made them for me... would one of you be able to make the seat sit ALOT! lower to the ground... cuz i like the way i sit in the trans am.. where my legs are basically straight out.... and feels like im sitting on the ground... could this be done?

Well i havnt been on here much to set things straight so here goes...
first off thanks to all the guys that supported me,i started doing this to help out org members who werent able to make their own and im glad i could help the ones i did..
Second...

well easy if you woulda read the first thread i made on these( and i know you did) i COULD have made them out of STEEL if you wanted, but it would have costed more..This is what it comes down to..advantages and disadvantages

Aluminum brackets : advantages = lighter than stock brackets which makes it a weight
reduction and its cheaper to ship.
Easier to work with which means if measurements
are off a bit it can be fixed with a simple metal file
and a few minutes of extra work.
COST,the metal is less expensive which means i
dont have to charge as much for them.

disadvantages = Strength,..your not able to bolt your stock seatbelt to
these( which i inform EVERY buyer of)but as far as
safety goes its your seat belt that holds you down in
a wreck not the seat its self.

Steel brackets: advantages = Stronger metal, makes a stronger bond with the
seat and floor.
MIGHT be able to bolt your seatbelt to it.

disadvanges = HEAVIER
more expensive to make
more expensive to ship
harder to work with

thats about all i can say, i dont mislead anyone when i make and sell these, its up to them..and as far as fitment goes ive only HEARD from one person who had an issue with fitment and he ended up getting them in with minimal modification and ultimately happy with them..if Easy's didnt fit i was never aware of it , probably cus he never told me, and unless someone tells me that something is wrong how can i correct the problem?? but it sounds like his biggest issue is he doesnt like it being aluminum, which is understandable...but thats his choice he knew what he was getting

i agree totally Scott, and like i said, i never meant to put a bad name on you. many people are happy with the ones you meade for them, and i knew what i was getting, but after testing them before installing, i wasnt comfortable with them. thats why i never complained. i couldnt. they were built exactly as you told me, no false claims. i just felt i needed steel to feel safer

WHAT!? Aluminum is safe. It's stronger and lighter than steel! Stonger and lighter= good! And the best thing, is that it can be recycled over and over again. Sorry to thread jack, but i just wanted share this with the world.

Bolt the seat belt directly into the floor, like the passenger belt is.
