How to remove the power mirror switch?

I want to paint my 2 triangular gusset covers on the doors but how the heck do you separate the power mirror "joystick" from the D/S cover?

Looks like some kind of threading back there but I can't see how to turn it or what kind of tool to use. I did not give it a lot of time today because I figured one of you guys could point me in the right direction.

Thanks!

Steve

The set screw is brass and at the top of the switch.

Hey, I've removed those many of times in my sunfire, and I over tightened the screw, making the hole too big, any ideas what I can do to fix this? The driver side one barely stays on any more.
