Can this piece fit on the older model cavs? That part that has the vents, radio, and hvac. I would like to put an lcd in the radio part, cd player where the vents are, and the hvac at the bottom part. I've searched. I've seen how lcds are mounted in 95-99's (with relocated hvac) but i dont want to relocate the hvac. I went to the junkyard and bought an extra trim piece. I've noticed the curves are different above the steering wheel in 95 from 2000. Would it make that much of a difference. I would like to know before i try a 2000 & up piece and it doest work.
the dash bezel's are the exact same with the exception of the radio and hvac spots are switched
^^^im not so sure that is correct. for some reason i think they wont swap over due to mounting points
but i cant confirm that until i get home
Its not correct. You cannot just simply swap in an 00+ bezel into a 95-99 and swap the radio and HVAC. They ARE different. The only way you are going to get an 00+ bezel into your 95-99 cav is to swap the ENTIRE dash in from a 00-05.
The bezel mounts to the dash in different positions then the 00+. I've seen it.
plus the clusters are shaped slightly different
