I have an auto/manuel shift knob, you have to press down on it. its pretty cool.

check out your local auto zone they have them. I will get some pictures of it sooner or later.

The one he is selling I THINK? get ahold of him and find out if ur interested

The knob itself moves down and acts like a button. I had on on my Grand am. It destroyed the shift interlock, so I got rid of it.

How does the boot attach to the auto shaft? How about at the bottom aswell, how does it attach?

Re: AUTO SHIFT KNOB

Its elelastic. So the bottom just slides over the stock base and stays there.

and as for the top of the boot, there is a metal collar that scerwes on to ANY pilot motorsport knob.

anyone know where i can get the pilot knob and boot online?

Re: AUTO SHIFT KNOB

pepboys and autozone, and even pilotmotorsport them selves.

not on pepboys or autozone online, and it seems as though the pilot motorsports site is under construction, even can't find anywhere from google, there is however an identical looking manual knob, not that its much good to me

You can always spend a little more money and go with MOMO and get a matching boot. You can check their site or go to cardomain and purchase it for a little bit cheaper. I've been lookin at the momo myself since it is fully aluminum with a choice of leather wrap or a polished aluminum body. The MOMO @!#$f boots screw right into the bottom. But again its all a little pricey, but you get what you paid for.

soo if its just a push down and easily moves. how does it actually remain on the shifter. does it like easily pop right off the shifter
Re: AUTO SHIFT KNOB

the boot holds it on.

The MOMO version comes in two parts, the lower half contains a rubber gasket that needs to be matched to the diameter of the shift shaft. (It comes with a few) Then the top portion is locked to the bottom with a hex screw. The MOMO shift boot crews into the bottom to complete the look without snaps.
