I have a bright blue light in mine, and I painted the dome light cover with transparent blue glass paint. Looks pretty cool.

- Plastic circuit plate
- 22 leds
- 22 resistances

I first place the leds on the circuit plate to form the logo, once it's perfect, I marked the spot where the leds goes. I used vinyl to cover the plate, then I made holes in the vinly so I can put the leds back in place, solder the resistances on the positive side of the leds (the longer side) solder all the positive wires together, same for the negative (I isolated all the + wires to make sure they won't touch the ground and blow the fuse). I've made it custom, so I had to recover my roof, it's not perfect but I plan on redoing it again with darker vinyl and a module that will hold the logo AND a normal light with a switch, so I can see in the car at night...

Those are both very sweet looking! Thanks for the idea on an inexpensive mod. I ran out of money (paid my bills) and waiting for the reverse glow gauges I ordered. So this gives me something to work on till payday!

Thanks All!
Peace Out!

Whats the number model for the bulb that goes in there? I want to just put a new color bulb in.

Here you go, this is from the owners manual.

Dome / Reading Lamp (if equipped)
Base model = 912
Up-Level model = 168 & 906
Sunroof model = 912 (dome) & 212-2 (Mirror)

My suggestion is to get the bulb covers. I wanted a deep blue color and didn't get that from bulbs (really faint, almost unnoticeable). So I brought the covers and it looks sweet.

Just my preference & suggestion.
Peace Out!

do you have the model number for the trunk light?

Looking at the owners manual and haynes manual I couldn't find a model #. From the picture in the manual (it's pouring outside so I didn't run to my car to check) it matches the 912 bulb. Or pop it out when you get to the store and see what size matches.

Hope this helps.
Peace Out!

For trunk light i just used a bulb cover.... looks real good in the dark i think. Plus it cant fall off the bulb because those clips hold it in place.
