all you do is take off your hvac face...pull out the 2 stock bulbs(they will break, use needlenose pliers to grab them and pull)...slide in the LED's...put the hvac face back on...simple as that...as for ordering...i just did a quick search on ebay...like $3 shipped

I read about a lot of problem people have with replacing those HVAC lights. Just be careful.

change the led's its not hard at all the worst part is taking apart the dash but even thats easy just time consuming. thing is the leds will last alot long then the viynl or paint that will fade and youd have to be a pretty good painter to make it look even

You could go with the stained glass paint im sure, but if you could get lucky enough, you could go somewhere to get liquid tint, like maybe an eyecare place, thats where i might get mine done sometime.

Yeah. If you're getting a small quantity of LED's (1-4) Radio Shack has them.

Anything more than that, for cost efficiency, try either eBay or lsdiodes.com

^^^^^i was just at radio shack and they had some, but there were like 3.99 for just one, and they had a tiny light bulb on the end, with a little strip of metal goin back or something. The ones that are on ebay look totally different. You need 3 bulbs for the HVAC and i wanna do this, so i might just do it on ebay! seems like it would work better.

That sounds pretty hot. right now I have indiglo guages but think i might switch back to stock with different color LED's behind it. Do you have a pic posted anywhere so I can see what it looks like? Also how many LED's does it call for?

after changing to the new colored leds, how well do the printed displays as to how hot/cold, or what fan setting you're on show up? does it still light up blue/red normally for cold and hot from using, say, a blue led?

I saw that pic, it just isn't clear enough for me to know if everything shows up.
