I AM REALLY SRY BOUT THE TITLE!!!

ok i have a 00 cavalier z24...

im sanding and painting my interior and im removing that whole dash peice that is connected to the frame of the car...in order to get it all the way off i need to take the stering wheel off (which is no problem) and those 2 stick thingys comin outta the sterring column

lemme see if i can explain this...im a lil tired and depressed so im not thinkin str8..i appologize but i have to get this peice off, sanded, painted, and back on in like 1 day...so bare with me PLZ

when you go to turn your lights on, or turn signal...that stick that you have to twist or press up or down...i need to no how to get that off...and the same for that stick that you use for your windshield wipers...someone PLZ HELP ME FAST..thank you

1) If you have tilt, remove the tilt lever. May need vice-grips with a cloth to remove it.
2) Under the column plastic, there should be 2 7mm bolts, remove them.
3) The column plastic piece should come off in two halves.
4) Now you can remove your turn signal/wiper stalks.

i already did all of that...but how do you get them off...i dont really see where they twist off or screw off...

Each is held in with 7mm bolts on the top of the column. Remove those bolts and they should come out. Don't forget to unplug them.
