i have o3 ecotec and hooked up oil press ghauge and the wiring wwas a you know what.
so sometimes it reads straight 100 qand after some payin it reads 25 at wot id this right oor is it offf?>??????????
At idle mine reads about 25psi. With the gas in it reads close to 50psi i believe. Is it an electrical or mechanical gauge?
100psi seems kind of high but not too high to worry about it. I believe.
Mine reads around 25psi at idle when at running temp. When cold at idle it will go straight to about 80psi, then down to 60psi and stay there for about 5-7 mins until at running temp, I ALWAYS let the car idle for about a minute, or until at 60psi (peace of mind) but even then if I drive away alittle quickly, the gauges goes right past 100psi... engine is still in one piece with no problems so it must be ok.
BTW, it is OKAY for the engine to see that much PSI, it won`t damage it unless ofcourse its seening that pressure all of the time.
