Hey my friend is lookin to do his trunk LID he wants to add 2 speakers and a LCD and just wanted to know how would u bolt that to the the trunk??? the fiberglass would be laid on the trunk to make the mold of it but where would it be bolted up to so it will not move also if u guys could provide some pics of ur setups on ur trunk lids or ones u found plz and thx i wanna see the concept of how it looks and also pics of how u or other people bolted it to their trunk lid

you basically put your mounting screws in the same location as your speakers, so you could hide them. so to get the piece off the lid, you would unscrew your speakers, pull them out then you'd be able to get to the screws for the piece.

Honesty, you will probably have to use screws around the outside like mine. The trunk lids don't have enough room for screws within the middle of it. Just use covers.

That cover you made is awesome, way better than the toyota one. Any chance you will let us know what you backed your material with or even give us a how to?

Its all molded out of fiberglass. I glassed the lid of the trunk, and then set up a ring for the plexi peice and bases for the crossovers, then stretched it with fabric, threw some resin on it, smoothed it out and vinyled. Sounds simple, but there is probably about 10-15 hours of labour in it.

how did you hold it on clips or did you just screw into the lid?
