Hi Guys,
Has anyone here ever done a conversion of torsion bars to gas shocks for the trunk lid in a 3rd Gen Cavalier?
If so what shocks did you use and how did you mount them?
Thanks,
Dan

Thanks, but that thread doesn't really answer my question
Cavalier and Fire convertibles had gas struts factory that simply bolt into place for the trunk lid.
Does anyone have a pic of that?
Mine are motorized by 6" linear actuators.

Boooooooo! You have to sign in.
Does anybody have a picture of the convertible gas struts, or some GM part numbers? GM diagram would be good too!

actuators.. this aint pimp my ride fellas
I was at the scrap yard today. What about the 92-95 Honda Civic trunk struts. They are pretty small. I am sure that you could mount them to the trunk arms and to the rear deck and make it all pop open. Just an idea.
