im trying to get my interior nice and smooth however sanding plastic takes forever has any one tried sanding with a 60 and then putting bodyfiller and then sanding the body filler smooth

dont be a retard , do it right......... jk but the reason I didnt do that is because i dont think bodyfiller sticks to plastic good. do what I did, sand with like 80, than like a 120 (use an orbital disk) than wetsand 220, then buy that high build primer from duiplicolor and cover as much as you can. youll still have a few imperfection but they can be fixed if u just keep sanding, I was too lazy to keep sandiong and just stopped there. then I used this thing they sell across the border thats like putty, after that, I just sprayed it with house paint, it looks smooth now

It's possible to just sand the plastic pieces and get them smooth.
That's what I did w/ mine and it's as smooth as glass.
No fiberglass or body filler required.
& the sanding doesn't take THAT long.
If you sanded, put body filler on it, then sanded some more-- it would take much longer.

will take about the same time either way. i wouldn't trust just slapping bondo onto plastic, bend the plastic putting the piece back in the car and you risk cracking it. just sand it down .
