Steering Column Thread

Just wondering if anyone knew what the thread pitch was for the steering column adjuster. I am having an aluminum one made, but I just need to know what thread to put on it. Standard or metric? Thanks.

pop it off and take it up to home depot or lowes most big hardware stores like that will have a display in the nuts and bolts section where you can find out what size and all that it is. unless someone here knows.

Pretty sure it was metric. Get a set of taps and try them. You will need to use a rethreading tap after you take the handle off to get rid of the threadlock or you'll ruin the threads on your new aluminum piece.

BTW it is a pain in the ass to get the stock adjuster lever unscrewed. You will need a huge ass vice-grip and lots of patience. I found it's easiest to heat the threads up with a mini propane torch to breakdown the threadlock. It's near impossible to get the lever off without damaging it.
