Ok i noticed some new HVAC controls that GM has put into the newer cavaliers, I saw this on Chevrolet.com
and this one is from wysiwyg's car 2003 Cavalier i believe,
Now this is on a 2002 Cavalier
Whats going on here? Did GM have spare parts lying around perhaps from the Toyota? because from what i understand GM cars got a fresh air system that always allows the fan to be on and the only way to turn it off is to select the off position.
the "off" position moved from the vent selection knob (the right one) to the speed selection (the left one). My 04 has "off" on the fan speed knob, which makes more intuitive sense to have off-low-medium-high instead of off-top vent-both vents-bottom vent-defrost.
yea, in 03 they changed the HVAC controls to what you posted for those first two pics. All they did was move a few things around and change a lil icon or two.

What you know about Street Racing anyways? Only what Fast & Furious taught us....
SO EVERYTHING!
the new HVACs also feel purely mechanical, and nothing is vacuum related... there's no "whooshing" sounds when switching from forward vents, to defrost etc
anyone able to confirm this?
