LED's in Vent's

Hey guys, got a quick question about this. I'll be putting LED's in my vents next week. I know the wiring and what not, so thats not my question. My question, will the lights get messed up in the long run due to using the heater or A/C? Is it best to just not use the lights in the Winter when the heat will be on? I know its a strange question, and I know LED's don't put out much heat at all, but how do they hold up against heat?

ive had them in since December---and i had the heat on for a while---and the AC on alot here in San Antonio--no worries soo far...what i did was a got my soldering iron (drill will do the same) and i melted a hole to slip in my LEDS thru the top...and all teh wiring is on top of the ac vent itself--...looks great...hope that helps

Yeah - you shouldn't have any trouble whatsoever from the heat/cold of the vents. Look at it this way - the LEDs that are put in underbody kits have to take a ton more heat and cold than what's coming out of the vents.

I, too have had mine in for over a year - no problems. Do what Ozzie said and drill holes in the plastic venting for the bulbs to drop through. There will be a period of adjustment before you put it all back together - try to time it so that you will have some darkness left at the end to set it the way you want, yet enough light to put it all back together!

Thats what I was probably going to do. Use a drill and just put the light through. As long as you've all had no problems then, there shouldn't be any worries. I didn't actually think of that with the underbody LED's about how much heat and cold they get exposed to.

Thanks for the advice
