Just came in from the garage, things are progressing. Here's a tip:
Removing these took me like 20 seconds. How? Bought a vise today fortunately, tighten the riser only down in one, and give the bracket a good few twists, comes off in a snap.

Wow guys actually suprized people are using what I wrote! :p
im about to use it in a couple of hours hopefully! i need to find more time to work on my car!

Yes will work with any other seat. Just have to measure your holes on the seats for the metal bars.
i did mine completely diff. than you did but i will put up some pics for you because i did use your instructions to knock off the risers on my friends seats. THANKS FOR THE INFO!
Glad I could help. This post got a lot more responce than I ever though.
I should have mine done today.
Now the only thing I'm waiting on are rims to arrive today then I'm off to bash.

ok, i definently used directions very similar to these, i didn't knock off the risers, and i just used 6x 17, 16 guage steel or whatever for front and back...but when i tried puttin them back in the car, i had to fight to get the brackets to fit on the studs, and when i miraculously did it, and bolted them in, the front end is raised up...the seat isn't parallel...i dont have ur kind of seats...i have the knock off apc ones, but i dont c y the front end would be raised up! i need help!

(Including the wedding night).
Mine stay level on the stock brackets. So I'm unsure why yours are raised up in the front. Just a though are you sure it just isnt the bolster in the front of the seat?
how much higher did you sit when you use your stock brackets becuase i did the same thing but used the risers from my racing seats that come with it and it felt like i was siting stock height in my car but it is lowerd if that makes any sense, but how much taller do you sit?
2002 Z
2.4 DOHC
Mine sat a small amount higher than the stock seats. But I believe that was because of the seats not the method of attaching them to the brackets. Talk about this thread being back from the dead.
okay i found these other instructions that seem easier for me. but i dont know how to cut the L shape metal to size...i was thinking like a dremel or something but i dont know which one to use...look at the pics and let me know.
seat install
"Sunfire got stolen, all i have is the J to remember it by"
Hack saw would work. Or if you buy it from a place that sells metal stock they should be able to cut it down to size.
What did you bolt the seat belt clip to? Directly to the seat again?
this topic would make for a great sticky.

Drivers side belt is attached to the bracket. Passanger side belt is attached to the floor. So no worry.
