why is it that when we paint our interior, we need to be careful not to chip or scratch it by accident. Yet, when u accidentally spray paint something u didnt want to (ex: fence) the paint stays there forever, even if it rains or its sunny etc. I sanded, primed and painted my interior about 2 months ago, and now i have a few scratches here and there, I also accidentally sprayed on my alarm remote control, and the paint is still there! no scratches, chips anything, i think thats amazing, considering the fact that i use it everyday and even drop it sometimes. just a thought i had

I mush be doing something wrong then, because my defrost vent chipped a little from the sun. I have also accidentally oversprayed onto things that I did not want to paint, and they are still fine too. I think it mainly depends on if you use the correct method to paint it and what type of paint you are using.

mine is very chipped.. have to fiberglass for it not to chip even romotly like it does on plastic...
