What did eveyone use to recover the headliner? Will the 3M 77 Spray Adhesive work? I'm kinda afraid of the heat killing the glue... is there anything that I can spray over the material to make it hold better?
Did mine last year with a light cloth and 77 glue still holding fine

ive done and redone my headliner more times that i care to remember and i can NOT get it to stick. the heat absolutely kills the glue with the vinyl. maybe tweed or something light would work, but good luck with the vinyl.

I used a light weight felt. It's not in the car yet, but I'm not hopeful that it will stay up. It looks great sitting on my pool table. It's really the first thing I've done to the interior of my car, so we'll see...
what is the best glue to use with vinyl. im planning on doing this next week.

3m has super 90, and i think 120. i used 90 on all my tweed work and its some strong ass stuff, not to mention i live in texas and its a 100 degrees, god i miss the north. I do however put a sunblock in the front anytime i park to minimilize the chances of the glue giving, take care of it and it should hold up fine, i dont know how well tweed would hold up on the headliner i havent done mine yet, but if anyone knows if its too heavy, post it.
it all depends what kind of materials you are using. I work at an uphostery supply shop. so i know a bit.. If you are gonna use regular headliner or a light weight cloth i would use 3m8088 .. if you plan to use something thats heavy like vinyl or leather you wanna use a contact adheasive glue thats use with a glue gun or paint gun thats use withan air compressor. the spray cans are not good for heavy material
So that means the higher is the better? I got 77 and not yet wrapped my arm rest door panels. Should I switch it to 90 instead of 77?

yeah the higher the better..for the door panel arm rest i would something higher than 90...they sell a quart of glue that says 3m contact cement that would be the best thing if you use vinyl. you can use a paint brush to apply it i did it, here's a pic with the center console arm rest ,door panel and back panel.....
BUT WITH LIGHT WEIGHT FABRIC DONT PUT SO MUCH CAUSE IT WILL BLEED THROUGH..
