what i did was use the stock position for the back seat seat belts. i took out the back seat belts and bolted up the harnesses to the studs in the back.

do you still have your back seat installed? or did u take it out?

Where can i get a harness bar?
yes i still have my back seat in there, i have plans for a project where i will be taking it out but ever since i've had my harnesses i've had my back seat installed. i don't usually have people ride in my back seat, if there is a lot of us we take another car, not mine but there has been times people have ridden back there. they fit only thing is they can't buckle up cause i took the female part of the back seat belts out.

Do some research into this if you plan on actually wearing the harness on the streets.
You should NOT do it if you don't have a roll cage. You will be putting yourself in greater danger by doing so. Your research will show you why.
I saw a sparco harness bar install in sport compact car's wrx project. I called a sparco sponsered shop in Oakland and the guy said the only sparco harness bar available for chevy applications is for the corvette. But he asked if I would like to come in, and he would measure and send my specs for a prototype cavalier harness bar to sparco. He said after that it would be a 50/ 50 chance if they would put it into production. The stock price is $399, i believe. I have summer schoo for three more weeks, then I might go down there.
I will try that hardbar as well, first though.
If there already is one, why make another?
no sparco doesn't make one for our cars, would be cool if they did, they have some nice ones. and i think Ian Lacey has the hardbar
