I've had a header back exhaust and the engine mounts on my car for quite a while, but recently, they are starting to make more and more parts of my dash rattle. My questions are: Is there an alternative to dynamat? If not, do i put the dynamat on the inside of the dash pieces, on the actual dash itself (Over HVAC tubes, etc...)
you would want to put it over anything that touches the dash pad etc. You could also buy some 3m undercoating for some other things and spray the bottomside of the dash pad.
stuff is shaking and hitting to make the noise, put something between them so they dont hit and the rattle is gone, now to just find whats hitting

Yeah just don't lay down an extremely thick amount
of padding or you may warp or possibly crack some
parts. Just enough to put some pressure on the parts
that hit will be good. I used some thin foam padding
becuase it compresses nicely and just layed it anywhere
i thought there would be some contact between pieces.
Everything went silent even during heavy continous
bass hits. Only problem was my front quarter panels
then started rattling but hey thats another isssue.
