Fiberglass Radio Bezel - Interest?
Friday, May 06, 2005 10:18 AM
Hey everyone!

I was wondering if there would be any interest in us fiberglassing the radio bezel for anyone. We'd be able to fiberglass it, primer it, and paint it whatever color you choose...all for about $140 Shipped. However, you will have to ship us your original radio bezel.

Note: This does not include any custom labor such as adding gauges, filling holes, etc. Custom work is extra.

Thanks. Let me know!

if your just doing the cluster with no mods, any reason your fiberglassing it, and not just sanding it smooth?

and please tell me your not doing that on your bed? lol

Yeah, true. I'm sorry...

Sanding, primering, and painting. And if it's custom...fiberglassing, bondoing, primering, and painting Sorry for the confusion!

Takes a lot of time and work since it's custom. I don't think it's high at all...

That's about $210 shipped by the way.

I can do it myself.
But I'm curious, for the people that send in their bezel just for a sand/paint job, is it a rattle can job, or paint gun. Granted it does take a lot of time to sand all the texture off the bezel, I don't see anyone dumb enough to pay $80 for a rattle can primer/paint job.

It takes a lot of sanding and them primering. However, I do mine with a paint gun. I think that the spray cans leave too many splotches unless you do it PERFECTLY and spend a lot of time with it.
