Last night I took apart my doors to put in my new speakers. I want to recover the fabric on the door and paint the trim on the door while it is off. I think I have everything figured out except the part with the weatherstripping. There are huge staples that connect the weatherstripping to the fabric that needs to come out. How should I go about seperating these pieces. Any help would be appreciated.
Take a very thin flathead screw driver and pry the sides out that are folded over from behind. Next take that same flathead and pry it up from the other side and then take needle nose plyers to pull it out. Be careful not the bend the weather stripping, their $20 bucks a peice at the dealer.
