so i have access to the front and back seats for a toyota cavalier still in the factory protective plastic.....the front seats are no problem but the back seat how does it come out does it screw into something or does it just pop out and i would like to know for both the bottom cushion and the back part of the seat as well....thanks

There's a plastic clip on one of the posts holding up the top part of the rear seat (look at the ends where it pivots, you'll see it). Pop that off, rotate and pull, then rotate and push. The seat will come off.
For the buttom, just pull up. Do pay attention to how the black clips attach to the mounting points, though.

^^^^^^^ im curious also.......arent the front seats the same, or is there a differnce?
ClassGlass / RkSport / Eibach / Motegi / Ractive / Borla / K&N
the fronts are the same i just want all the seats to match with the red weave in the upholstery thats all other than that they match and they are still wraped in the factory protective plastic

fair enough. but if the fronts are the same, be sure not to pay too much just because they are "jdm". you should be able to pick up a set of 95-99 z24 seats dirt cheap and those are whats used in the toyo cavs.

yea they are exactly the same .....and as far as paying too much i doubt that i will unless you consider free a bad price....there is a toyota cavalier in the shop that my school owns and all we do is take it apart and put it back together again....its never gonna get sold and its never gonna leave the school untill it goes to the crusher....so i'm taking what i can off it before i graduate in june....i already have the tails from it and the trunk liner and visors and all the fluid caps ......and i was looking at the seats and was like hey them are still in the plastic and i like that back seat so y not swipe them too lol

If your school has a TOYOTA CAVALIER, then try to BUY that sucker. If I was a t a school and they had one I'd tell them that I'd take it off their hands rather than let the thing go to the crusher like you said they're planning on doing.
well i cant buy it i have talked to them and tried like hell to but laws restrict them from selling it b/c it was a donation from GM to the vocational school i go to..i really wish i could buy it though

Tell them to donate it to you and you will donate money to the school. Then they don't have to pay the bill for the crusher to tow it away. The tow yards just sell those parts anyways. LOL
lol i know that they wont sell it to me thats y i'm striping that thing before i leave school i june...i wanna get the seats and then get the side markers but i dunno if i will be able to get them ...i would get the fenders but they are damaged

well free is a great price....so yeah go for it. too bad you cant get the car. ive heard other people say that their school got toyo cavs as donations....i wish i could land one of those!

well after me actually doing something that i dont do often which is thinking i realized that the toyota cavalier back seat wont work in my 04 due to the 04s having a split back seat....so i am gonna have to sell it.....i have the back part with the arm rest in the center of it and if you want the bottom part i can get that too no problem......so email me if your interested and we will negotiate a price and workout something for shipping or pick up....i have pics of it as well so email me for pics as well....i'm also posting this in the classifieds
