Has anyone taken the the trunk hinges out of a vert and used them in a coupe? I was looking around at a local yard today and they intrigued me. I was just curious.
Been done a couple of times. Requires some welding so it scares a lot of people off.
I tried it... but I figured buying a 'vert was more fun.
Came with a folding top too... neat-o!
^lol, yes i tried this with my coupe. Said screw it as well and bought a convertible because i loved the hinges so much.
I've got a set laying around because I wanted to do this. All it would take is bolting the vert hinges to your trunk then welding the other end on your car. It's been a while since I looked but it's pretty simple once you have the hinges in your hand.
im lost...is there something majestic with convertible trunk hinges? I must see, anyone have a picture?
