So I am currently in the process of fabricating a gated style shifter to replace the old shifter boot in my 03. Going to put up pictures once it's done. Maybe even sell some if there is enough interest.

It be interesting to see. But with all the play these shifters has, I expect lots of clacking noises happening.

Lots and lots of measurements. I'm making the first five versions with thin aluminum cut with a dremel and then I'm going to cut the final with a plasma cutter.
Only way id ever do it is if PJ finished the shifter he was making.
It's a work in progress. It might get done by the end of the year.
Id ask you to make me one but im putting the short shifter in :[
What model of short shifter are you putting in? I never got the time to cut the aluminum for the standard shifter. I'm going to be putting in the Ralco RZ shifter in soon and I will eventually follow up with the original idea.
