what stock seats are interchangeable in a 99 cavy? mine are ok but im looking for an upgrade
Anything from 1982-2002 Camaro or Trans-Am( front buckets only) of course other J's, Cobalt SS seats with minor modifications, and just about everything else with some skill, luck, ingenuity, and patience.

Pretty difficult if you don't have fabrication skills
Just go out and get som Yonaka/Tenzo R seats. They're about $3-350 a pair WITH rails for your car.
Work better too.

those seats leather? and what about the rear seats for a 97 2 door cavalier? any leather replacements out there?

You can find them in leather, yes.
As for the rear, I know SRT-4 and newer GTO seats have been done but everything is going to require custom work.
