OK, so I know the vats is all screwed up but it seems that the key does not turn all the way to crank the car, I ma sure this is part of the problem. The tumbler is off the car and I use a screw driver to start the car for now. How do I get the ignition cylinder out?

And dont bash me on the screwdriver, this is just a test parts car that needs to run so I can move it.

I will post pics of what I have in a couple minutes.

turn ignition cylinder to the on position and used the screwdriver to push in the rectangular button on the bottom of the lock (acessable thru the column housing) then pop the lock out with another flat head. The button will only press in if the lock is in the on position.
