Hey all, I have a 2003 Cavalier LS Sport 4dr. When I bought the car used I didn't notice that the whole entire dash board rattles. It got worse and worse and now I can't even turn my A/C up to high because the vibration of the dash board. Every lil bump it rattles and shakes....any ideas how I can fix this?
I'll keep that in mind when I pull it off, but I think the dash frame might be loose, plus I might just leave it alone for now, as all cavaliers have, I have the broken dash trim pieces are they are a little expensive. Is it just my car or are all cavalier trim pieces such as the back and front door panels just flimsy, i mean they aren't awfully bad,, but enough so that I feel like its cheap quality. Don't get me wrong though, I am an all american car guy, I'm restoring a 1971 Chevy C-10 right now! I love GM but I feel like they skimped on quality with this car....anyone else feel that way?
these cars were rattle traps from day one.
glove box rattles the most of all on cavaliers atleast on 99-95s i put some duct tape on the inside of it no more rattle lol
Also it's not always good to be an all-American car guy.
It's just like that guy at my school who couldn't believe the Ford Pinto scandal. He said that when you watch their commercials and ads on television and on billboards you trust such a company and don't expect it to do such a thing.
It's not bad to prefer American cars over other markets, but it doesn't mean you should feel bad about pointing out flaws and other things because you might be considered "non-American".
i know what you mean, I have a 5 speed and sometimes when I pull the clutch to soon it looks like my dash she doing to fall off. there have to be a way to make them more secure
