how much resin do i need?

to smoke out of a bowl to get high? xD lol jk
now on a serious note.
im buying 10 yards of carbonfiber by 50 inches. sooo 360 inches by 50 inches how much resin do i need to buy and what type (polyester or epoxy) i plan on useing it for interior pieces if that matters. any help would be greatly apreciated

You need a clear drying epoxy resing. I prefer US Composites brand, either the Kleer Koat resin, or their medium set epoxy (I use the 3:1 ratio). As for an exact amount, it's hard to say, depend how many coats you are doing on top of the carbon, I do about 3,,,if you are new to carbon layup, I would suggest an extra flow coat or two so you have some padding when cutting it down wet sanding, don't want to hit the weave or the piece is junk. I'm gonna say at least a gallon, but maybe more depending on the thickness of the flow coats.

start with a gallon and buy more if nessicary. resin has a shelf life so dont order way more then you need.

ok, one more ? if i plan on clear coatin it how many coats would i need? or do i not need it except for it to adhere to my surface?
