A possbile aftermarket bench seat?
Sunday, June 20, 2010 10:43 AM
I want to replace my seats in my car with a sporty or lightweight race seats (Possibly just aiming for looks and comfort since the stock seats are nasty mean to my back.) Will spend more for carbon fiber if its just a couple hundred more. I really like Sparco, but ANYWAYS....

Two Things:
1. Whats the width of stock seats in an 05 Cavalier (I'm replacing for same size)
2. And is there any company that makes a bench seat for an 05 cavalier (coupe)????

I guess I can always just reupholster it, but the seat part of the bench is bent the f**k out of place and can't even get put back into the little grip thingys that hold it down.
I didn't know if someone has gotten a new bench seat (not stock!!) for this car and had it work. I found one by Corbeau but it came in many sizes and I don't know how long width wise the stock is.

I don't plan on repainting my interior, like, ever, but I do want to replace the fabrics with a yellow/electric blue and steam cleaning the carpet to a level beyond immaculate since there are zero holes or loose patches on it and the stock colors are that dark ass gray I love.

Yea, bucket. Sorry, I didn't know the actual term and was thinking of words for a 'long seat in the rear' xDDDD
Bench.

I think he's asking if there is an aftermarket rear seat available for our cars, which is no. However, there are a few different swaps that have been done, for example the 2nd gen Neon rear seat.

id say if your getting custom seats for the front, just go to the junkyard, pick up a new rear seat for next to nothing, and have it re-upohlstered to match the new fronts, it will give you a very clean look.

I have the rear seat out of an '06 GTO.

The fitment is near perfect, they're just a tad taller than the rear deck, something I haven't yet finished working on.

These pics are of the seats just dropped in, not adjusted or bolted down at all. I've since done that, reconditioned them and swapped the carpet to black. It's a stock look kinda, I love it.
