00-05 Chevrolet Cavalier clusters and 00-05 Pontiac Sunfire clusters are interchangeable. I have a 00+ Pontiac Sunfire cluster in my 04 Chevrolet Cavalier. It was a direct swap and everything works perfectly.

You have to remember that the interchange systems show only parts that are identical. Since the Sunfire and Cavalier clusters are different visually, they are not considered interchange for the purposes of that system. It does not look at parts than can be used. Remember, those systems are to help locate parts primarily for repair shops, who are simply fixing a car, not modding it.

The mileage isnt stored in the cluster.

I dont want to create a new post, but im wondering, what about swap between cavy cluster's from Km w/o tach to US (miles) w/tach (remember cavalier to cavalier), what wil happen about the odometer, it will convert from km to miles???, in my country almost is impossible to get a cavy or fire 00+ tach cluster, then i ordened one from ebay, but only can find US one's, thanks in advance.

My car is a 01 Cavalier Coupe 2200 SFI, 5 speed Getrag F23 with 75,000 Km, power locks and trunk, manual ,mirrors and windows.

Talk to Alex at Black Cat customs he might be able to help you out! http://www.blackcatcustom.com/index.htm

To the OP: Dude just get an updated cavy cluster from Alex with the red LED's in it. My cluster quit working so that is what I did and I am overly impressed with the job he did.
