i use my ebrake to drift alot, and i find myself having to hold down the release button so that i can quickly engage and release it, is there any way to keep it held down so i dont have to hold down the button?
Hahahahaha....breath....hahahahahahaha.....
In for the epic.
Duct tape?
solution.... stop "drifting"

Usually, drift cars are light to moderate weight rear-wheel-drive coupes and sedans over a large range of power levels

hate if you want, i wasnt asking if you approved of my driving
im just asking is there a way to lock it down
Push it in, and get your drill. Drill like a 3/4 inch hole through it and put a big bolt and nut in. Then gimp away.
Your car may do 13 sec @ 103 mph, but my car does 146db @ 35 hz.
Use a full tube of JB Weld and hold it in.

thank you to lanman the only one who instead of making fun actually helped, i dont care if you dont think you can really drift in a FWD car, you can slide and fishtail around corners and with the right techniques, indeed, drift.
As much as i would love to call doing anything like drifting in a fwd in fact drifting, you can't. Drifting is when your rear wheels are slipping more than the front are, with a fwd car your back tires are not slipping, they are just dragging. Yes it's fun to do in the snow and rain, but since your back wheels are not power spinning, all you are doing is trying to bend that rim under your car, and I've seen it happen a couple of times, no fun.
...you want a pic, then help me build something worth taking a pic of....
I would define drifting as a weight transfer to the front of the car, and the car moving sideways under its own power, which you can, and i have done in a fwd car, i will say, its much easier and alot more controlled in a RWD car, but it can be done
e brake is only for U turns.... not drifting...... duh
i vote duct tape
i am gone from this forum
Tape it down temporarily while you let some quicksteel dry on it.
i held the button in while i drilled a hole in, wouldnt go all the way through, there was metal in the centre, but far enough to put a bar in to hold the button down. works great!!!
There's actually a really simple way to rectify this situation:
Step 1: Get keys
Step 2: Drop Keys in toilet
Step 3: Flush
It really is that simple!
