was hoping somebody could tell me how to install it with out an adapter 97-2.2
already looked a ny-jbodies but that is a 2200 install

im doing the exact same thing on mine, you will have to take out the instrument panel and there will be a purple wire with a white stripe. this is your ref sig wire from your coil pack, this will give you your tach signal. im half done, so ill take pictures of the wires for you, hope this helps!
nevermind, the signal comes out of the ECU, i had to remove my front bumper and most of the right side wheel well to get at the ECU to find the ref wire, buy the adaptor, save the headache
