Hey guys, I was wondering whats seats from other GM cars could bolt in to my jbody. The passenger seat track messed up (so the seat wont move forward or backward) and the dealership wanted $400 to replace it. For that I could get better seat or seats from a junk yard. any idea?

Any J-body seat as well as 3rd and 4th gen f-bodies are direct bolt in.

your problem most likley is the crossover spring what actuates the latch on the right seat rail. The handle directly actuates the left rail latch then theres are wire link to the other latch lever, repair that and youll be in bussiness. Not too bad.
wait fbody seats are direct bolt on ?
i have seats in my 97 fire that came out of an 84 fiero... seat tracks from the j-body seats just swapped over, no modding needed... that doesnt really help though seeing as the seat track is your problem...
3rd gen works huh? thats friggin sweet I have a pair of air bolster GTA seats in my garage right now. Anyone know if they sit higher or lower than the cavy seats?
depends mine were very worn in but they sat a bit lower.
