04 sunfire gauge cluster

replaced dash after wife wrecked it awhile back. took cluster out to see about changing bulb colors. unplugged it to take out and ever since I've plugged it back in and reinstalled everything, gauge works when it wants to. when fuel tank is full, gauge might say 1/4 full. temp gauge jumps straight to hot after just cranking for first time, etc. I've unplugged it since to see if that would reset it, FAIL. tapped on top of dash, FAIL. even unhooked battery for a few to see if that helps, FAIL. any suggestion on how to fix the problem. maybe new cluster? lol

Had the same problem here. Gas gauge would stick or not work at all. Then temp gauge would start acting up. Bought a cluster off ebay problem solved. The cluster I bought was new and it wasn't expensive either.
