well with the gauge i hook it up to what wire on the sensor on the exhaust? isnt it the purple?
Yup connect it right to the purple wire
i have yet to hook mine up...got it powered up just no time to figure out that same thing....
So to the 02 sensor huh...
looks pretty...does nothing.

No, you toss the lightshow into the trash and weld another bung into your exhaust and install your wideband A/F gauge.

i suggest a wideband like ^^^ otherwise you get a pretty light show that does nothing for you

In actuality, the narrow band light show is an indication that your O2 sensor is working properly.
Most people don't need the wideband controlled O2 setup but if they know how to read their narrowband gauge, can tell alot about their driveability of the car.
This is how I knew that my O2 sensor was failing because the narrow band gauge was no longer a light show but a steady light, indicating the sensor went kaputt. I didn't have to troubleshoot at all by this gauge and was fixed with another sensor only this time, the 4 wire sensor.
Also as time goes by, the O2 sensor gets weak and knowing how to read your narrowband will alarm you to this by having the light show slow it's pace down. This way you know something is about to happen and probably need to replace the sensor soon.
I've always had one and always will for just this reason.
