Hey guys,
I never had a problem with the clutch getting stuck on my 98 cavi, but with my 03 cavi, the floor mat goes high up when it's being used and when I press the clutch down, it gets caught on the end of the floor mat. Anyone else have these problems? They are the stock floor mats and I am not sure why it is getting stuck. Is it just because the floor mats need better grip to stay in place or what? Thanks

nope i even had some aftermarket industrial ones in and never had a problem.
I had this same problem in my 2000 Z and in my current car. First time it happend I had no idea what was going on, clutch stayed stuck to the floor and I was like WTF!? Started panicing and hit the brakes and pulled over then I figured it out.
Now, I just check the floormat when I get in to make sure its down where its supposed to be.
LOL u think thats bad?!?!? try gettn your gas pedal stuck- and havin your @!#$ bounce off the rev limiter while neighbors stare at you like your a pissed off teenager... i thought it was the tb swap with lines gettn caught in the bracket but the 3rd time it happened i looked down and my my floormat was guilty....
hah yeah it sucks. im going to just take it out, no use in all the trouble. i got stuck on a long driveway with a very steep hill with a hill right next to it so you cant see cars coming. not worth the danger, just take out the mat.

I had that happen once or twice, I guess the stock ones are a bit flimsy. I bought heavy duty rubber mats (I guess they are actually truck mats) to help keep my carpet cleaner in the winter time and they seem to stay where they are supposed to be.
I have this happen in my winter beater, floor mats move up than it gets stuck......moved em back to where they are supposed to be than screwed em to the floor lol
wonder if velcro would work?
