Well now that i have your attention, i wanted to know if anyone know how to install a new gauge cluster im a complete noob and have no idea how to install one but i do know how to remove the dash
my cluster is not working well the fuel needle is not working properly and i want to replace the cluster, is this a good idea?
i have been reading about tachometers and i dont know if my car has one. my car is a 2004 base sedan
so this is the cluster id like to buy
2000-2005 Cavalier LED Lighting Upgrade $169.00 US
so how do i remove my old cluster and install the new one ? can i do it myself?? sorry for the questions is just that i have searched the forums and dint find anything
Any cluster 2000 and up from a j-body will fit, its direct plug and play. So no need to really touch anything back there, also BCC sends you a full cluster and their work is flawless. Just remove your old one and plug in the new one and your done.
All i did to install my BCC cluster was remove the dash top and gauge bezel. Then unplugged my stock cluster and plugged in my BCC and put the dash back together.

Bezel can be removed very easily.

x2. It takes alittle fiddling but i have had my bezel out a bunch of times.
Here is my cluster. The installed pic isnt working, but what you dont see is that it has the blue LEDs and the annoying shift light has been removed.
If you're willing to pay contact Alex and he should be able to ANY design for the face.

Yea all 00+ cavs came with the same exact cluster and the all had tachs(its the gauge that says "RPM x1000" all the way to the right).
Except Canadians could get 220kmph(140mph) clusters. They are the clusters Alex uses to make his 140mph conversion clusters.

Bubba's is a BCC cluster too. Just talk to Alex and he can make you that cluster.
Aside from the removed shift light and the ECOtec background my cluster is the basic 140mph conversion with the LED upgrade.

always wondered..
the 95-99 cluster does not stop when you get to the top speed indicated on it.. it keeps going, unlike the 00-05's....
so couldnt you technically have the mph scripted to like 140 but just add to whats already there? it may look goofy but at least you could see faster then 115.
Familiar Taste of Poison.
i had one was complete PITA, leds went out, milage hard to read, 300$ and i wasnt happy with it.
sent it back twice, third time i told them i wanted a refund. well plus my car was totaled... idk if they got better or what, id hope so

Does anyone know if you could put aftermarket gauges w/ tach into a 95 cavalier that doesnt have a tach? And is it plug and play?
