hey guys im wondering if i had to buy a specific shift knob for my 05 sunfire since it has the pop up reverse style shifter on it or could i just buy any shift knob and it will work? also if anyone has pics of them doing a swap on a standard that would be great. thx all
The 00+ shift knobs are pressed on unless you have a B&M shifter. The B&M shifter is threaded, and it is easy to remove the reverse lockout so replacement knobs are a bit easier to find for it. I don't know of any reverse lockout style knobs that will work with the stock shifter. Maybe someone else will chime in.

Sorry to threadjack. How do you remove the reverse lockout on the B&M?
There is a pin that holds the collar on. You have to use a punch, and knock it out of the shifter. Once it's out you can slide the collar off.
