Can't say that I have changed the WW pump, yet but, here's what the haynes manual says. (page 12-12 for those playing the home game).
1. pry off the cover for the wiper arm nuts, unscrew the nuts and remove both wiper arms.
2. disconnect the windshield washer line, remove the single retaining screw, release
the 5 push-in retainers, and remove the cowl cover (black plastic cover).
3. unplug the electrical connector from the windshield wiper motor.
4. remove the three wiper motor assembly retaining bolts and remove the wiper motor assembly.
5. detach the wiper transmission assembly from the wiper motor crank arm.
6. detach the wiper motor crank arm from the wiper motor assembly.
7. remove the three wiper motor retaining screws and detach the wiper motor from the bracket.
8. installation is the reverse of removal.
Sorry if this isn't much help. I don't have a scanner, so I can't upload pics from the manual.
Good Luck!
Those are directions on changing the motor. To change the pump just get to your washer bottle and disconect the wire and hose from the pump. Pull the pump out of the bottle and put the new one in. Then reconect the wire and hose.
Sorry, about that. It's been a long day.

How does the pump remove from the tank, I can get to it but can't see how it connects and I would like to avoid removing the reservoir.
Mine is a 1997 Z-24 if it makes a difference.
take the hose that goes to your wipers, then take a basketball pump needle used to air up basketballs, cut the very end of th needle off so its just a hole. attach needle to the hose. run the hose up thru the hood between the hood and the fender, tape the hose so it aims out the passenger side. get in and hit the washer fluid button and watch the spray shoot out 20' now drive around the block spraying down innocent bystanderds and annoying kids. oh, this was about fixing the windshield wiper pump. never mind then.
