1998 Chevy Cavalier base model-
For my horn to work i have to punch the steering wheel for it to work, Well sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. And right now it doesn't. When the horn would work on the passenger side of the car under the dash some thing would click. But now that it doesn't work i cant figure out what was clicking when it would work. Help please and thank u

There's a relay, check your radio fuse, see if its blown.

My 96 GT had the SAME problem. I took your advise and punched it(praying the air bag wouldnt go off because of some fault. You never know, right? lawl), and now it works fine.

Other than that click.

It doesnt matter, my exhaust is 10X louder than my horn. I was driving down the road one day and there was a deer in the middle of it. I stopped dead in front of it. It didn't even look at me the stupid bastard.

Anyways... i honked at it, it just looked at me. Then i reved my engine and it took off like a raped ape.

I have a sissy horn. allwell. lawl

my radio works so its not the fuse. Have any other ideas what the problem could be.

Does your cig lighter work? Check that fuse. It might be the same as the radio, I forget.

i couldnt even get the one to work on my '97 Z24, even punching it. then i found two problems, the thing that holds the wire inside the steeringwheel was broken, and the horn itself is crap. even when it is hooked up to the battery itself, it sounds like @!#$..

this is a video of it hooked up to my Acura

this was after taking about a gallon of water out of it.. now it just kinda clicks...

Nothing, you just don't know how to use it.

anyway, I'll guarantee most of these horn problems are due to the white thing holding the wire in being slightly broken.
