Why would it be ok to use in a "race car"?
It says nowhere that it is tested or approved to be used on a track.

i dont see this thing working very well. did you see the list of cars its supossed to fit? Any bar that can go from a crx to a corvette to a cavalier cant be very sturdy or look very good after being put in the car. but if you do decide to get one post the pics of how it works out for ya i have been looking for one of these bars but not very many people get rid of the rd fabs ones or the ones actually made for our cars.
There are other ones on ebay that actually have the loops for the seatbelts on the bar. Get that one instead.

they fit like @!#$.... just an FYI i've seen one installed and it was nothing to write home about.
Also mind you, if you get into a roll over and your fully secured, there is a chance the roof can crush down on you, and unlike normal seats belts which allow you to move to the side out of the way, racing seat belts hold you in place potentially causing death if you get crushed by the weight of the car. You need at least a roll bar installed to make this a safe upgrade so you won't be crushed.
This is one reason we discontinued ours, as we didn't want the liability of someone using our product incorrectly without a roll bar.
