I've seen the nice rear view mirrors that have the map lights in them and wondered what is involved in installing them into a base model cavalier?. Can I tap into my dome light somehow?. Thanks

First, just go to a junk yard and you can pick up one with the map lights from any cav or fire with a sunroof.

And for the tapping into the dome light, no i wouldnt recommend it.

Run your own wires, from the fuse box in an empty slot. This will ensure you dont start a fire due to faulty wiring etc, its just a good safety precaution.

All you need is a constant power(ie from battery) and a ground- anywhere on the car body.
