I need help to find the tach signal on an Alero 3400 1999 swamped into a cavalier, some people say to find the white wire that goes into the ignition control module, but I don't find this f***ing wire, I try different wire, but the rpm reading it always wrong, I used a scanner to get a good rpm reading. If someone have any suggestions ?

Your going to need a tach adapter. I bought mine from Summit racing for about 40 bucks or so, just follow the directions and make sure you switch your tach to the proper cyl. # you have.

Agreed. Theoretically, the purple wire on the ICM could work, but when I tried it, my tach cut off at 3k.

I find an easy way to solve my problem, i used an equus tachymeter (8068) with and inductive pickup that you simply put on a spark plug wires. Check the RPM with an scanner and it works well.
