Hey Guys what do you think of this, I finally finished it today, the Vinyl is Gun Metal layed onto translucent White and applied to a very thin piece of Lexan I got from a sandblast shield

I also eliminated the graffiti and the Kilometers and installed carbon-fiber vinyl on the needle centers, painted them all but the tips, they show up ok but not like I was expecting. I'm Switching to LED amber bulbs and see if that will make a difference?

Actually the font style I chose that "H" was uppercase it looks Lowercase but it's not. at night the gauges light up simular to indiglo because the vinyl being thin I should have cut a black copy first an the overlaid the white and gun metal. My brother actually cut these out on his vinyl plotter. The numbers he designed because the ones that went with the font didn't look all that appealing. I am going to install amber LEDs and see what that does for it, I wanted ultra violet Leds but I cant find them for those bulbs. If any one knows where to get them let me know. Thanks

After I laid out this on the Lexan I pulled off the existing speedo overlay and realized there was a clear plastic plate on my gauge cluster i had another cluster from a 97 and I think it was on there when I took that overlay off, so if anyone does this you probably can install it right to the original backing...note to self: .... Self, Install vinyl to original backing for an even better fit

Just so you guys know this can be done with endless color possabilities and fonts I only have the 95-99 gauge cluster template without tach, but I'm sure i can get my hands on other styles for the cavalier/sunfire if anyone is interested. I will contact my Brother and check on pricing. semnd me en email if you are intrested. Thanks

Yeah Im puttn in LEDs too but I think I'm going to redo the cluster with Carbon fiber Vinyl to take away some of the bleedthru of the lights, Carbon fiber vinyl in metalized vinyl and I got a 30foot roll so y not use it? I was going to lay out my dash cover in it but you cannot make a compoud curve with vinyl especially this stuff. I think the carbon fiber will look better. this was just a test run to see how it looked.
