i looking at getting some rims for my 05 sunfire and i want factory rims and was wondering if rims off a g8 would fit? they are 18"x8" bolt pattern 5 x 120

No, because jbodies have a bolt pattern of 5X100

im not saying you have great fitment but its an option. keep in mind you will have find a hubcentric ring to center them, and you would have to check the hub bore on the g8 wheel to see if in clears, and again you would have to find hubcentric rings.

Those wheel adaptors are meant for a VW and will not work for your car.

VW uses bolts not nuts to hold the wheels on, you can see from the pictures the holes for the studs are threaded to accept the wheel bolts.

Other companies will sell a 5x100 ->5x120 adaptor tho.

From what I read the offset of a G8 wheel is +48mm and the factory offset for a J-Body is +42mm so with the adaptors they should fit nicely.

You can also just re-drill your hubs to 5x120 if you want to.
