Hi
Im planing on mounting 225/ 50 tires on my almost stock cavalier (secret cams, nitrous, intake exhaust, shift kit) I currently have 15 in rims and my plan is to mount biger racing tires on the back just for looks and whenever I go racing rotate them to the front. Is this tire size to big? which kind of tires would you recomend
Lol your an idiot, if you want radials get them mounted on wheels you don't need everyday. Instead of ruining them on the back of the car.
Is it necessary to be offensive?
its always necesary to be offensive here. Don't take it personally.
Why not just pick up a set of steelies and put the racing tires on them? That way you can buy a good set and not waste the thread life during regular driving. Or buy some slicks, which I sure as hell hope you wouldn't even think about putting them on your car for daily driving, unless you want to wrap the car around a pole.
slicks are illegal on the streets, not that i care lol a cop will rip u apart for it...but mount the one tires you dont use every day, im sure its not that often u race so go on craigslist and find some cheap rims or steelies
6.5 inch wide 16" steelies for $56 a piece and free shipping on discount tire direct. You have to look for 5x100 bolt pattern as they dont show up when you search for cavs (because they're wider than stock). They fit fine, I've got my winters on them.

They have a huge amount of caliper space. I'm considering replacing my summers with them so I can run slightly larger rotors and dual piston calipers.

And after looking at them gain they do look like they have a bunch of room in the back. I may just have to buy one to try out, hopefully discount tire is cool enough that I can return it if it doesnt fit

Just so long as you dont mount a tire on them, I think they take them back.
