my fiancees wheels are pretty messed up from brake dust over the years, my only solution would be to sand the wheels down and then repaint and clear them. my question is what primer should i use for the wheels? also what should i use after i sand to make sure the surface is absolutely clean b4 i start painting, sorry, yes im a newbie. etching prmer from rust-oleum is great,also clean the wheel with mineral spirits.Make sure to use thin coats to insure no runs .
