Just bought 18's, what will fit? max size for rear?

i just bought some cheap 18's for my sunfire, i already searched and i know 225/40/18's are the best fit, i just want to know what other sizes can fit on the car without the car looking weird. it doesnt even have to be all 4 the same, since the sunfire has a wide rear, could i have 225/40/18 in the front and 235/40/18 in the rear (or the largest size that can fit)
also will a 45 instead of 40 look ok on this car? its stock height.

45mm will sit more IN on the car. i think the 40mm would look better!

Do a 225/40R18 and you might want to think about wheel spacers so they won't rub on the inner fender, unless you have checked that already.

You can check the fit of the rims at least by pulling off one of the original wheels and tires, front or rear, and place the rim on the hub and check the distance between the rim and the strut/fenderwell. And you can double check once you get a tire on one at least.

I'd just stick with the 225/40's. As for mixing sizes between front and rear, if your car has ABS, don't do it, as the ABS computer freaks out over it.

225/40/18 is the only way to go so stop asking for others.

In my opinion, 45 offset looks perfect in the front and 35 offset looks perfect in the rear. Personally, I think you have a great setup. I had 35mm all around and never fully liked how it looked up front, even though the rear looked great. This is due to the way the fenders and bumpers are shaped. If anything, you can always put a well-made 10mm spacer in the rear (but then you're going to need to roll the fenders if you've got a low drop).
