will this size wheel be a issue with air ride...i know most people like to go 42 and up on offset but with the fact that its 7" wide and not the typical 7.5" counter the slightly lower offset

The difference between a 40mm offset and a 42mm offset is 2 millimeters, which is like the thickness of 2 quarters, you will be fine.

you are forgetting about the 1/2" difference in the wheel width also....
I've got 17x7 with a 42mm offset and 205/40/17 tires and nothing rubs with my air ride...but...I cut out my fenders, and the lips on my fenders and quarter panels. Depending on the tire size you go with and what you consider being an issue with air ride, you might have problems. Are you worried about rubbing when driving, or them touching when your layed out? I can stuck my hand between my fenders and my wheels in the front when its layed out, but before I did a lot of cutting I couldnt do that.
where did u guys get your air suspension from, that is something i have been considering doing but havent really known where to start.
I got mine from Jason at Aplus Performance...and I got all of my other stuff from suicidedoors.com
Suicide Doors
Jason probably had better prices.
