have 15" steelies on my 98, hate wheel covers, they are gay, fall off, break get stolen. yeah, just no. anyways i reapinted there old asses gloss black, yay right. whatever. Anyways im thinkin' what would a set of 15" chrome steelies look like on a cav? anyone done this? only pic anywhere inline I can find is of a ram with some on it. I think it would be bad ass. btw I have a set of 18's sittin here i used for shows on my 05 but stopped doing shows and dont like them for daily driving as imo there too big for such a little car other than for show.

I know there's what's called a wheelskin that's chrome and you can't even tell its a cover. They make them for the dakotas so I'm sure that there's got to be a company out there that makes them for a cav. You could go have the stocks dipped but it's not as tough of a coating as regular factory chrome. Ever thought about powder coating them instead?
nah i mean having them preped and dipped real chrome. would be cool. and im not so into powdercoating things as most.
I'd expect the factory Cavalier steelies might look pretty pathetic chromed, especially with the wheel hub poking through the middle.

that truck isnt the best looking but just a comparison. plus its a dodge and I cant say anything good about that. and just becuase its not the same konig theory or other same as 5600 other jbody members wheels doesnt mean it could NOT look decent and be different in a good way, guess I won all the shows with @!#$ty taste??
and dont forget it's the 15's not 14's so might look a bit better than the 14's. i have 4 damn sets of wheels for 2 cavs, was just an idea for something I thought was different, instead of the same style wheel or pepboys 300 dollar special like alot of j's have, so the 80 year old jbody members are gonna hate... oh yeah! Now please assume the rest of your postion and call every mod ever done to either of my j's rice while your at it...
might even be decent to put some d/r's on for my 05 at the track since the steelies are wayyy lighter than the 16" ls wheels i usually run at the track with street radials but in that case would use the 14's. oh and I prolly struck something saying I dont dig powder coating everything possible on my car and toyo tails do not look good on every car even tho most of you think so.

oh and also sorry I dont use a magnaflow muffler on EVERYTHING as well as 85% j owners as I think magnaflow is THE worst sounding muffler on the j's

yep thats right im using a Magnaflow, well in your perfect world anyways. Actualy I have tried many mufflers and have settled on a super turbo because it is quiet. No I dont follow trends as you would suggest, I do as I please with my car. Have fun finding something that I had powder coated on my car, you wont. There are things I would like PCed because for that application it would be the best route. You failed to speak much truth. Maybe for your gay little community its truth but for the vast majority of J's I have seen over a rather large area it would not be true.

will I actually chrome my steelies, I doubt it, looks like a decent concept to me though. and better than a lot of kids that use a rattle can of $3 chrome spray that comes out looking like plain silver paint after a week.

but back to the OP. There would need to be some sort of center cap for the steelies if they were chromed. A j-body really can't pull it off IMO the chrome steelie belongs on rat-rod or maybe a mud-bogger.
for center caps could buy some, i had 15" chrome wheels on my mini truck quite a few years back and it looked good with some centercaps as well, if I can find a pic i'd put it up of 'em. could buy some center caps cut em down to just clear the centers as to not stick out too far, that would'nt be that hard to do.
the post about dirt track racer or rat rod etc, yea makes sense would look better on one of those actually.
mine will stay gloss black and bare, again I hate plastic wheel covers, there way more trouble than there worth and if i get sick of the steelies I can throw my 18's on it for a while but the ls 16's stay on the 05. took me forever to find a set of ls wheels locally.
idea just kinda poped in my head wonder what it would look like on a cav, but not much chrome looks too great on a cav anyways.
